Milly Is Improving! Veggies Are Still Coming in Good! Interesting Raw Milk News.....

"If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny"

-Thomas Jefferson

So the last week has been eventful to say the least...Milly has been steadily improving every day and is currently only on her meds every other day...The vegetables are still looking good and I am beginning to make the plans for the Fall garden - have already planted more carrots, green beans, corn, and broccoli. The cantaloupes have attracted a herd of flies and yellow jackets...not sure what this means, but I am gonna have to dodge the bees when harvesting the fruits....not looking forward to that since I am terrified of bees...and last but not least, there is a war against raw milk. Please research what the laws are in your state and try to educate others whenever possible - it almost seems ironic that Rawesome Foods in California has come under attack for their selling of raw milk - because it is "dangerous to consume" milk that hasn't been pasturized (even though the patrons of the store all sign a waiver indicating they are fully aware of the risks), yet the largest recall in food history happened the same week on ground turkey THAT HAD THE USDA STAMP OF APPROVAL ON IT. 80 people sick and one dead from this turkey.

......and now the week in pictures:
the tail is UP!!! This is a great sign!

Milly's spine is a lot straighter! Yay for Milly's recovery!!

  1. I am so glad Milly is still on the path of recovery. I know how much you love her. It is hard not to love a goat.

I have been following the Rawesome story, thanks to being your friend on FB. Crazy. I like the quote and think I shall borrow it. :-) You know, that kind of stuff makes me want to open a private food club. That is what THAT does.

We have been having fried green tomatoes too here. Yum.

I love you photos, they always make me smile.
