sweet stuff sunday: sour cream 'donut holes'

these are amazing and super easy to make. no mixer necessary. all you need is a mini muffin tin and a few bowls!

ingredients:

5 Tb butter (for the mini muffin tin)

1 C all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
a pinch of ground nutmeg
1/4 C sunflower oil (it is what I had on hand, you can use vegetable or similar oil)
1/2 C sour cream
1/3 C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract

2 C powdered sugar in a paper bag (this is purely for the dusting and you can also make a glaze if you prefer glazed donuts)

preheat oven to 350, and cut pats of butter into quarters for your muffin tin. Place the tin in the oven until the butter melts...
(you only need one muffin pan unless you want to double the recipe)
in a mixing bowl, mx flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg together

in a large mixing cup, or small bowl, mix the egg, vanilla, sour cream, oil, and sugar together

now, mix the wet mixture into the dry mixture... and spoon into the muffin tin to fill about half full.

bake for 15-17 minutes.

take out of the oven and put 5 at a time into your paper bag and shake.

viola!

You have just made quick and delicious donut holes!

I can't wait to start my monday off with a few of these with my coffee in the morning!
