sunday!

Happy Sunday to all of you sweetcakes! Short post, but I just had a few free minutes and wanted to write a little update....

I have had a lovely weekend so far aside from figuring out how to successfully manage and allow to heal one of my goats who has decided to self-nurse.... yikes. This is usually a death sentence, as it is a bad habit to break and causes severe malnourishment in the goat. So today I will be working on a special custom collar which will prevent her from reaching her own teat - sounds fun, eh?

In non-farm news, I had a few girlfriends over and we had a nice socially distanced little fun time... unfortunately I didn't take any pics of my girls night, but we had pizza, cider, fancy drinks, a cheese platter, homemade dips, and so many laughs in the kitchen on such a humid evening....

Christian came home when I was down to one friend and we had moved out to the porch (and I snuck this one and only pic!), so he hung out with us a bit before we all called it a night. Tomorrow is Christian's birthday (!!!), so I am gonna be planning most bday fun today since I work tomorrow....

I am sipping coffee, windows open, and so happy to be back on the blog. I am gonna use my time off from work next month to revamp the ol' blog, maybe give her a new look (I am ready for a bit of a new look and can't wait!), and plan some new scheduled weekly posts to get 'er back on track.

It has really proven to be hard to find the time for blogging - one thing I love so much, while organizing, cleaning, and planning for a brief hiatus next month from my animals. Gearing up to have someone else take over while Christian is working is a bit of a harder task than I envisioned, not to mention I am still working with Reece and the trainer every day to make sure he can be boarded and comfortable for a few days.

Oh, and last but not least, I am sending all who have sent such kind words of love and encouragement my way regarding my upcoming surgery, a GIANT virtual hug. I seriously love the warmth and willingness to help me out during this time, as most of you have figured out by now, it is hard for me to let go and let someone help :) , so it means the world to me and I am so grateful for my little community and thank you for checking in to my little corner of the world wide web...

...until next time...

xoxo
