yesterday I...
- totally left my blind chicken outside to frolic in the sun when I left for work, having zero idea it was going to rain like it did.... she was fine when I got home, just a little soaked. Ya see, being blind, she can't really SEE how to get out of the rain, poor gal!
- didn't have the internet connection to post the midweek mixtape because of all the heavy rain, but I am planning on getting it up this evening - letting it load while filling some orders for Fox and the Forest (thank you thank you thank you for continuing to shop!!!)
- made my best friend laugh so hard she cried while we were facetiming....
- wanted mexican food and chips and salsa for dinner, but decided to make a healthy dinner of sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts instead....
- bought my favorite man his favorite ice cream...
- ran faster (and laughed SO HARD) than I have in a very long time due to Reece wanting to sprint through the rain
- finally got some relief after my two-day migraine decided to leave...
- realized how much I miss the opportunity to meet up with friends for a happy hour beer..
- made loose plans to do a photoshoot with a girl and her dogs in the near future...
- thought about some plans for a landscaping project I am continuing this weekend...
- listened to Beastie Boys "Check Your Head" while out grocery shopping with my pretty little mask a co-worker's 72 year old mother in law made me.....
- thought about taking down our christmas tree (hahaha YES. it was just a thought. the tree is still up)....
- half-watched several episodes of Cheers while at work.
- thought for a second I would do a little thrifting after work, but them remembered THE THRIFT STORES ARE CLOSED...
- decided that this weekend was going to be THE WEEKEND that I tackle renovating the chicken coop (thank you, Eli for destroying it). I am getting my new flock next month!!!! EEEEEEEK! I am super excited to have young layers again! I allowed my last flock to grow old here, living 12+ years and I am down to my last girl, Blindie. She has her own little safe haven between the front porch and her little private yard that keeps her from wandering too far...
- didn't work out and feel fine about it :)
- dreamed a little bit about other farm projects I'd like to tackle in the next few years...
- got a new pair of boots that reminded me of my absolute FAVORITE BOOTS OF ALL TIME my stepdad gave me years ago. I wore those boots into the ground. Literally until the had holes in the toes. My boss told me not to ever wear them to work again, they were so bad.
- got some really promising news about one of my project shelter pups!!
