frugal fashionable farmer: TGIF

....happy friday to everybody! It has been crazy muggy and humid, which makes for foggy mornings, and picturesque walks.....

Oh! Our little dirt road got graded a few days ago! It was much needed, but they butchered a few sections of our property which is gonna be a pain to fix, nontheless happy about the road fo sho! If you have ever lived on a dirt road, you know how nice a newly graded road is!!

friday for me means a few days to play catch up with things that have fallen to the wayside due to the workweek and rescue. I don't typically do any rescue stuff on saturdays, but last saturday I devoted 6 hours to rescue pups, and so this weekend I have lots to catch up on!

here are a few of my plans for the next few days....

it is most likely going to be raining a good portion of the weekend, so most of the plans are based around the fact that i won't be able to get much outdoor farm work done....

1. finish organizing the loft/ finish purging stuff for yard sale (I will have books, clothing, and some kitchen items available for sale soooooon! I plan on selling a few things online before the yardsale this fall)

2. pack up all yard sale items and drive down to storage building.

3. pick blueberries in between rain showers (or even IN rain showers! that is a fun way to get drenched and rinse the berries all in one swoop!)

4. pick out a paint color for the kitchen - I am thinking pale green or pale teal....

5. getting my sewing space organized and ready for new sewing projects! I found the prettiest vintage piece of fabric that I want to use for curtains in the soon-to-be (probably fall 2019) gutted & renovated workshop.

6. a little thrifting.... vintage cotton sheets, clothes, and fabrics are my need....

7. spa day for myself... paint my nails, maybe a facial mask, a long soak....

8. visit some rescue doggies (Sunday only), spend time with my own rescues...

9. healthy choices/ planning the week's lunches, hitting the gym

10. coming up with a new blueberry 'sweet stuff sunday' treat

11. tend to Hazel's tumor lesions...

If for some reason the rain doesn't come as it has been forcasted, I will also be playing/ mowing on my John Deere lawn tractor... I absolutely LOVE mowing. I hate slathering on sunscreen, so if it is cloudy and almost rainy, I can get away with a wide-brimmed hat & long sleeves!

Also, no what I am back to blogging pretty regularly, I am thinking of switching things up a bit. Maybe get back to my 'Tailwagger Tuesday' posts and move the 'want/need' to Wednesday? Decisions, decisions!

I'll be back tomorrow with the 'saturday snapshots' and I that will also update on the farm/ home situation and what actually got done from the list - ha!
