The Ice Bucket Challenge. Done In Style....

"You have no idea how every single challenge makes me feel - lifts my spirits, lifts every single ALS patient's spirits." - Anthony Carbajal
So...here's the deal. If you get challenged, you have to pour ice water over your head to raise awareness AND donate a minimum of $25 OR you can get out of the ice water challenge by donating $100 or more to an ALS organization. I chose ALS.net because of Anthony Carbajal's touching video. You can make fun of and hate on this challenge as much as you want, but the reality is that there are 30,000 people who are living with ALS in the US and until this huge viral campaign, these people felt as if they were fighting this alone. At least now, people like myself (who were dumbfounded about the disease) can now share in the fight for more research. As of today, donations for the time period July 29 - August 22 have hit over $53,000,000 - that is less than a month!! Being the 'Frugal Fashionable Farmer, I decided to make it fun by calling out my best friend, getting us all dolled up in thrifted fashions I found on the cheap (her dress cost a whopping $2 at a thrift store in West Virginia, mine was $4 at the Project Safe Thrift Store in Athens, GA), doing a BFF photoshoot, and THEN doing the icebucket challenge in our frugal fashionable finds. Please watch Anthony Carbajal's story and then you can scroll down to see how we tried to make this cold challenge as fun as possible!

.....before the cold water icy challenge.......

Well, hello there miss photobomber, Milly!
