Two Cents Tuesday

This is a segment I started last year, but am changing it up a bit this year. I used to post it in the mornings and would try to find things through the week that would be inspiring to my readers. This year, I am going to post two things or more that I actually came across on Tuesday that actually inspired me. That means these posts will happen at night, after decompressing from the regular work day. It is refreshing to reflect on my day and make note of the small things that inspired me. In posting these things, maybe they can inspire you too!

First of all, I watched the Golden Globes on Sunday - or at least long enough to see this next acceptance speech. It did pull at my heart strings when I saw it live Sunday night, and then today a vendor came into the office and I overheard him telling my boss about how it touched him. It was a small reminder that we all need to strive to say to ourselves every day. I will say that I did not know who Gina Rodriguez was before the Golden Globes, or had I ever heard of the show "Jane the Virgin", but her speech so powerful and inspiring..... I needed to hear it.

"This award is so much more than myself. It represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes. My father used to tell me to say every morning, ‘Today’s going to be a great day. I can and I will.’ Well, Dad, today’s going to be a great day. I can and I did.”

"Believe in good" - This is the message from the following Thai commercial. It is a very inspiring little piece and has such a good message. Do good things and you will reap the rewards. Always. Sometimes the rewards are not what you expected, but nonetheless, a gift.... It's the little things, ya know....

I found a new show to watch! It's called "Farm Kings" and it is about a big family headed by a single mom - TEN KIDS!!! Wow! They operate "Freedom Farms" in Pennsylvania and they hand harvest everything!! It is definitely getting me more excited about planning my garden this year!!!
